Conversation. Especially literature and language, education, football and baseball, movies, history, then and now, birds, two-lane roads. "Banjo" is a fun word, and the instrument can make fine music. I am making my way through Munro. She's not a great fit for me. It's not that the stories are slow -- that's fine with me -- But the words are slow and I keep falling off the train.
Maybe I'll begin to feel differently.
Yeah, Munro might be more for rocker/sitters and not so much hiker/bikers. I appreciate your effort. Maybe it's just a too individual thing. Did I recommend specific stories? "Carried Away"? "Meneseteung"? "Vandals"?
And in my opinion, Kundera has nothing to do with Nietszche. Keep trying.
